FAQ'S

Are we a good fit?

I am a Seattle family photographer who works well with clients that are laid back, fun and trust me with the flow of their photo session. They don't care as much about getting the perfectly posed shot of everyone smiling at the camera. They focus instead on giving lots of snuggles and being silly. I will try my best to get the posed family shots but I also hope to give you some nice memories.

How do we pick a location?

I have a list of photography locations in the Eastside and Seattle area that I like to use. I prefer to photograph anywhere from 3 hours to right before sunset, depending on the location.

What should I expect?

As your Seattle family photographer, will start off with posed family photos. I'll get your kiddos to smile through a mix of games, songs and tickles. We will then move towards sibling shots, individual shots, couple shots and candids. I will deliver your digital photos via online gallery within 2 weeks.

How do I book a session?

When you reach out to me through this website or email me at linglingzhengphotography@gmail.com, we will chat to see if I am a good fit for your family photos. I will send you a contract and process payment. Once those things are done, we will set a date! You'll answer a questionnaire and receive a detailed client guide.

Why should we take family photos?

I've been in your shoes. I know the effort involved in preparing for a family session. Will my kids behave? What should we wear and where should we go? I don't look like a magazine model and my phone has tons of selfies with my family. Isn't that enough? I'm here to tell you that after getting my family photos done this year, I've printed them out, hung them up and smile every time I see them. Artistic, joyfully captured photos of ME with my loved ones is something I value over most of my possessions. Yes, it takes time and effort, but I've created guides to help you feel relaxed and prepared for your Seattle family photography session.

What if it rains?

On the day of your family photo session, keep family activities to a minimum. My goal is to keep your session on the specified date because I know you're busy! The weather is more volatile in the spring and fall so we may move your photo session up by a few hours, when there is a period of dry weather. I will be in touch with you by email closer to the session and on the day of, be in touch by text message. I appreciate your flexibility and understanding.

What should I wear?

You'll receive a style guide to help you prep for your family photos. The most important thing is to choose clothing that matches your family’s style and especially for kids, pick something they will be happy and comfortable in. Avoid matching, big logos, neon colors or characters as it can be distracting. Mom should pick first and then build the wardrobe around hers.

What if I don't need my print credit?

You don't have to use the print credit but it is built into the cost of the collection. I can't give you a discount if you don't use your print credit.

"Ling Ling is such a great family photographer to work with! She took the time to get to know our family before even meeting up with us. Everyone felt comfortable immediately including the kids. She knew their interests to get that natural smile. Ling Ling played games with us so all the pictures turned out natural and not forced! We are very happy with the pictures, they turned out beautiful!"

Ashley. Bellevue, WA.

"Ling Ling is a fun and creative family photographer. During our family session, she made it fun for our kids and the photos we got were exactly what I had envisioned! She makes our framed photo wall my favorite place in our house. We've had our fair share of photographers over the years and it is safe to say we found our forever photographer!"

Selina. Seattle, WA.
