Vibe #1: A Tall Grassy Field

The golden hour glow, warm summer breeze and minimal crowds means a relaxed session for everyone involved. Marymoor Park in Redmond is a huge park with athletic fields, playgrounds and trails. This park is also an awesome spot for a family photo session with it's tall grassy field and peek-a-boo views of Mt. Rainier. More from my session here.

I love shooting up close, far away and framing your family with all the colorful flowers. This location provides a unique garden vibe with trees, bushes, flowers and shrubs. Bonus, it's free! Vibe #4: A Flower Field

Lavender, zinnias, sunflowers and wildflowers...JB Family Growers is a photographers dream! On a clear day, you might even see Mt. Rainier or a rogue hot air balloon! This field charges a small admission fee that allows you to roam their grounds and even cut a few fresh flowers. Weekdays are less crowded than weekends and the best bloom is the end of July to mid August.  See more photos here.

Vibe #5: A Beach

A fun rocky beach is everyone's idea of a good time. We can get great candids through play! We can collect different colored rocks and/or throw them as far away as possible. Our beaches have views of the water and mountains and on a sunny day, lots of ways to play with the light. Front light, back light and silhouettes!

Vibe #6: An Urban Spot

Seattle has lots of funky spots, including the area surrounding the Space Needle and MOPOP museum. With all the bright colors, sharp angles, leading lines and cool framing, you can get a very unique gallery. If you've done nature vibes in the past, consider switching it up and choosing an urban spot this time!
