About me

Hi, I'm Ling Ling, a wife and mama of two girls! I love photography because it allows me to capture a moment in time...my daughters as newborns, wrinkly, tiny and dependent on me. My daughters as toddlers, bumbling around, making messes and giving me the best, slobbery, unabashed kisses. And now, my daughters as school aged children, with gangly limbs, varied interests and smiles showing off their newest missing teeth. I want to capture it all because I want to remember it all. That's why I want to capture your family. I want to help you remember this moment in time.

I love learning about photography. Sometimes when my girls go to bed, I spend hours poring over tutorials and several times a year, I will take rigorous courses to better hone in my craft. I am also honored to say I am a Click Pro Elite photographer. This is an association of advanced photographers, with membership gained only through a rigorous 150 image portfolio review, judged in seven categories. I have the technical and creative skills to create beautiful images for you!

Did I mention our session will also be a fun one? We will get the posed, holiday card, everybody-look-at-the-camera shots in, but after that, we will move towards photos that are candid and filled with authentic joy. The delivered gallery will be a diverse one. I can't wait to work with you!

How My Process Works:

After saying "Yes! I'd love to proceed," we will get the ball rolling. I will send you an invoice, contract, questionnaire and client guide. After paying your $300 non-refundable deposit and signing your contract, we can secure your date and start planning your session together. To capture your dream shots, you will fill out a questionnaire asking about your family's personalities, likes, dislikes and photography goals. I will provide you with a client guide to give you tips on styling and a list of locations I love. I will also be readily available by e-mail to answer any questions and on the day of your shoot, will be available by text message for any last minute updates. All families will pre-pay for The Sweet Collection prior to our session together.

What to expect at our session:

The Pacific Northwest has tricky weather. One moment there is rain and the next there is sun. We will have a tentative start time and I will be in communication with you on the days (and even hours) leading up to the session as I will have my eye on the weather forecast. We may change the start time depending on the forecast and it is best to have a flexible schedule that day! During our 60 minute session, we will have a mix of posed and candid, group and individual shots and I will play games with your children to get the most authentic smiles out of them. I want your session to be a FUN one! Never has a child said no to the game red light, green light.

What comes after the session:

I will carefully hand edit each photo and within 3 weeks, your photos will be ready. You can watch a photo slideshow and scroll through all your photos. You can choose to keep or upgrade your collection. I have three different collections to choose from. Once you purchase your collection, the entire gallery will be viewable and you can select which digital files and prints/products to get.

Pricing

All family sessions are 60 minutes long, for families up to 6 people at a location within 20 miles of Bellevue, Washington. All families pre-pay for The Sweet Collection and have the option to upgrade upon viewing the gallery. Each additional person is $30/person. Each additional mile is $1/mile. Prints and products are available to order directly through your gallery.
