Summer family photos at Tanner Landing Park.

When this family asked for a location that had a Pacific Northwest feel, I immediately thought of this park in North Bend. Summer family photos at this location are stunning and offer a lot of variety! With a brief stroll, you can get a grassy field, views of the mountains, shaded trails and a rocky riverbank. Read on about why I love this location.

Tanner Landing Park is easy for young families.

This park is rarely crowded, even on a summer evening. It's easy to find a quiet spot away from the trail runners and dog walkers. Parking in the gravel lot is free and ample. Kids thrive in the wide open spaces and can explore freely on the kid friendly trails (which are stroller friendly). This spot is also great for your leashed pups!

Tanner Landing Park is easy to dress for.

Tanner Landing Park has lots of yellows and greens. Everyone's skin tones look great in shades of blues/creams and these colors will POP amongst the backdrops. I'd recommend choosing 2-3 colors and designing your outfits around shades of these colors. Because there is a rocky river, wear sturdy shoes and pack an extra set of kids clothes in case they get wet. With the warm, summery breeze, you can opt for shorts and shirts.

Tanner Landing Park has a beautiful golden hour.

In the summer, Tanner Landing Park has a gorgeous golden hour (the hour before sunset). Blow some bubbles, run around the grassy field and cuddle with your family. This spot is worth keeping your young kids up for (just once) to maximize the lovely lighting. Summer family photos at Tanner Landing Park look different from fall family photos here.

If you've done fall photos before, consider trading in your layers and doing a summer session! With the variety of backdrops...the river, mountains, grassy field and forest, you're guaranteed to get a diverse gallery!
